    In this chapter, Mormon steps forward and tells us more about who he is, what he’s named after, etc. Why he suddenly foregrounds himself, I don’t know. But I really like that he’s named after the waters of Mormon, where Alma, a convert from King Noah, led the group of converts in the wilderness. I like that Alma was a convert, that Mormon’s name stems from that, from that conversion experience and leadership. So many of the Church’s greatest leaders are converts.
