We finally get to hear Jacob. I like how he mixes Isaiah with his own interpretation, rather than just dropping large sections of Isaiah for us to interpret. Both he and Nephi do seem to talk a lot about the scattering and gathering, and it makes sense for them to emphasize this, because they are literally a people who were scattered and who will be gathered. It’s more apparent to them. In our day, the scattering and gathering isn’t so close and personal, although we do look for the gathering part more.
